Isabel Figueroa

Associate Vice President, Social Security, Pensions and Medicare

Isabel Figueroa has been a tireless advocate for working people throughout her 32-year career in the healthcare system and is a retiree of Local 420.  She was employed as a PCA at Lincoln Hospital in 1985, subsequently she was elected to the position of 1st Vice President of Local 420 in 2005.

Ms. Figueroa was born in Bayamon Puerto Rico, raised in the beautiful town of Guaynabo Puerto Rico and attended Margarita Janer Palacios High School in Guaynabo Puerto Rico.  She is a graduate of Hostos Community College in NYC and was recognized in 1998 as PCA of the year and valedictorian of her graduating class.

Ms. Figueroa has received numerous awards in recognition of her tireless commitment to the Labor movement and members of Local 420.  She has received the Fiesta Folklorica Hispanic Award of Excellence and the DC 37 Chairman's Recognition Award.
