  • Flash Announcement - Medicare Part B Reimbursement/Differential: 

    The NYC Office of Labor Relations (OLR) has announced that the Medicare Part B differential for the calendar year 2019 would be issued in March 2021 for those retirees whose Medicare Part B effective date is prior to 2016 and who receive a regular Medicare Part B Reimbursement for the calendar year 2019.The regular Medicare Part B reimbursement for the calendar year 2020 was scheduled to be issued in April 2021.

Free Tax Preparation

Starting in January 2022, Food Bank for NYC will offer free, contactless tax preparation services for low-income New Yorkers. Get the refunds and credits you may be entitled to, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) that can be worth up to $8,852 for some families. Free tax prep is available at: Call 646-981-6111, Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 4 PM, or email: [email protected]. The IRS will accept 2021 tax returns starting on Jan. 31. The deadline to file is April 18, 2022.
